DeleteI'm 63 and we had our own song similar and my wife has one similar as well. I have three brothers and we started a lot! We were raised in beans and tators and red soup. (That's tomato soup, with peanut butter sandwiches). "Beans beans the tropical fruit, beans beans the more you eat the more you poop, beans beans the more you eat the more you toot! Memories of a life long gone, childhood.

ReplyDeleteas a fourth grader in an elementary school,In a little town called Montross,Va.
I see over the years there were some minor modifications..
My original is as follows:
“Beans, beans good for the heart..
“The more you eat, the more you fart.
“ The more you fart ,the better you feel..
“ So lets have beans at every meal..
My class buddies laughed so much that the
teacher demanded that we give her the paper
that was being passed around with my poem.
She didn’t find it to be too amusing and politely
deposited in the trash can by her desk.
She gave us the evil eye the rest of the class.
Too late though because she couldn’t erase it from
the minds and mouths of me and my mischievous
pals...
Everyone in the school was reciting it since it was
so easy to remember and just flowed from the mouth..
I never dreamed it would so infamously find it’s way in to eternity on the internet and mouths of
many.
